Ward Burton - President Ward Burton is a native Virginian from South Boston, where he resides with his wife Tabitha and his three children. Currently, Burton drives the #4 State Water Heaters Chevrolet for Morgan-McClure Motorsports. He has won some of NASCAR's most prestigious events, including the 2002 Daytona 500 and the Southern 500. In addition, The Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation has been recognized both nationally and statewide by leaders at every level of government. In 1993, he returned to Virginia and was promoted to Regional Sales Manager. In 1994, he became the training coordinator for AFLAC, a position that he held for the next nine years. In 2003, He became a partner at Manakin Insurance Center and assumed the position of Director of Marketing. His impressive track record with them included many national sales awards. In 1979, he became associated with American Family Life Assurance Company (AFLAC) and was soon promoted into management. During his tenure with AFLAC, he was in charge of the state organizations of Idaho, Texas, California and Virginia. He held the prestigious post of State Sales Coordinator for more than 19 years. From 1987 to 1992, his developed a payroll deduction relationship with the City of Los Angeles and grew the AFLAC sales organization from $300,000 in new annualized sales to over $5,000,000 in new sales. In Virginia, he built a sales force of over 2,000 sales agents from 1993 to 2003. The annual sales during this time rose from $3,000,000 in sales to $26,000,000 with a renewing book of business of over $120,000,000.
